- 내 PC에 DNS 서버를 설치하여 인터넷을 빠르게 !
- 인터넷 업체가 공유기 사용을 알아내는데 자기네 DNS서버를 사용하는 것 같다.
- 인터넷 서비스 업체가 인증을 위해 자기네 DNS서버로 연결시키는데 이 툴을 설치하면 그럴 필요 없다. DNS서버를 자신의 피씨에 설치하였으므로 달랑 IP만 받고 인터넷 서비스 업체 DNS 서버에 연결하지 않으므로 공유기 사용도 들킬 염려가 없을 듯.
- 프로그램을 설치하면 재부팅 된다. 이후 네트웍 속성에서 TCP/IP를 열어서 DNS 세팅을 보면 첫번째 DNS 서버가 127.0.0.1 로 설정된걸 볼수 있다. IP는 자동으로 할당으로 설정되긴 하는데 공유기 사용자는 192.168.0.xx 등으로 지정해 줘도 된다

TreeWalk DNS is a Domain Name Server program which fetches and converts Web Site human readable names into the numbered addresses your computer needs so that your browser, email, icq, and ftp programs can surf the Web. For Microsoft Windows® XP /2000 /.NET /2003 workstations or servers.

TreeWalk Enterprise is not currently available which normally includes technical support and updates. However for many commercial and business applications TreeWalk Standard will be an appropriate choice.
The current TreeWalk DNS version is: 'Hawk' March/24/2005. Users are recommended to update to this latest version.
